TOLEDO (WTOL) - Rick Urbanowski says he paid his electric bill but was still threatened with a disconnection.

This would have made it impossible for him to work out of the building in the 200 block of West Alexis where his car repair business is located. So the owner of Rads 2 Automotive Repair turned to Call 11 for Action problem solver Mika Highsmith.

He said a Toledo Edison representative showed up three days after the bill was due, saying, "I'm here to shut your electricity (off) unless you can pay right now."

Mika spoke with the president of Toledo Edison, who says they must have made some type of mistake and that he will work with Urbanowski to make sure it never happens again.

As for shutoff times: Residential customers have 90 days to pay their bills and business owners have a 60-day stretch.
