LUCAS COUNTY (WTOL) - The Lucas County commissioners will vote on a plan Tuesday, December 9 to oversee the county dog warden.
Commissioner Ben Konop wants to establish a dog warden advisory committee made up of pet advocate groups and public safety officials.
Konop says the dog warden is doing good work when it comes to the public safety end of his job. "The concern is, from a number of groups, that he's not doing enough to adopt out dogs from the pound and that we have the highest kill rate of any major county in Ohio."
