NORTHWOOD (WTOL) - New details are emerging in the death of Robert Porter.

Porter had called police just a couple of hours before he was killed Monday to report he'd caught Sarah Bunch breaking into the house next door.

Bunch, 20, was arrested the evening Porter was killed and later confessed to shooting Porter, police say. Porter, 60, had been shot once in the head.

There had been other questions surrounding Bunch, some neighbors said. One filed a police report indicating Bunch had stolen her purse. (See video, attached.)

Bunch, who lives at of 1929 Sharon Dr. in Northwood, was arraigned Tuesday. She is being held on $300,000 bond. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 18.

Bunch's family is attempting to gain custody of her son.

Porter, a former carpenter for the University of Toledo, was found by firefighters in the back of his charred house in the 300 block of Andrus. The fire broke out Monday afternoon, Dec. 8, around 4 p.m. and was reported by someone passing by who spotted flames shooting from the house.
