Consolidated Biscuit ordered to rehire unionizing workers

After more than six years, workers at Consolidated Biscuit Company in McComb, Ohio will get their jobs back.

The U.S. Sixth Circuit COurt of Appeals ordered the company to comply with the reinstatement of fired employees Bill Lawhorn and Russ Teegardin.

They are to get full back-pay with compound interest.

In 2002, workers at the company called BCTGM, an international union representing workers in the baking, candy sugar, grain and tobacco industries. The employees claimed they wanted more of a say in working conditions, wages and benefits.
