Bring east Toledo cats in for free spay/neutering

Posted by LS

(WTOL) - An effort to spay and neuter as many cats in east Toledo as possible is now underway.

Humane Ohio has a grant to spay or neuter 1400 cats, and they focused on east Toledo because of the high population of strays. This grant is for the zip code 43605.

Residents in that zip code can trap strays and bring them in for free. You can call to borrow a humane trap or to make an appointment at (419) 266-5607.

If you live in the 43605 zip code, you can have your own cat spayed or neutered for $25 with proof of residency. Call for an appointment.

She adds that the special rates are even less than their normal low-cost prices and that further financial assistance is available to those who need it. Free transports are also available.

Volunteers needed

Humane Ohio also need volunteers to deliver flyers advertising this promotion around the East Toledo area. If you are willing to help, please contact mailto:volunteer@humaneohio.org
