Obama to begin intelligence briefings

Associated Press - November 5, 2008 11:13 AM ET

CHICAGO (AP) - President-elect Obama will start getting highly classified intelligence briefings starting tomorrow.

It's the type of briefing he'll get on a daily basis in the White House once he takes office. They usually last 45 minutes to an hour, but Obama's initial one is expected to be longer.

He'll be getting information that he never would have had access to before, even as a senator.

The information comes mostly from the Central Intelligence Agency.
