4 Mich. students suspended amid photo probe

FOWLERVILLE, Mich. (AP) - School officials in Fowlerville say four students have been suspended for a day amid an investigation into whether an inappropriate picture of a junior high girl was being shared by cell phone.

Superintendent Ed Alverson confirmed the suspensions Thursday to the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus of Howell and The Detroit News.

The incident at Fowlerville Community Schools Junior High School followed a similar incident at Pinckney High School. Livingston County prosecutors plan to consider whether criminal charges will be brought in both cases.
