Bill Clinton rallies for Obama in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton told a crowd in Toledo tonight that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama would seek to create jobs in industrial towns like those in Ohio where blue-collar jobs are needed.

Clinton said Obama's economic policy is better than Republican John McCain's because it focuses on removing tax breaks for people who move jobs overseas and gives tax breaks to people who create jobs here.

Clinton spoke at the Toledo rally after an earlier appearance in suburban Youngstown. Clinton told the crowd that Obama understands better than McCain how to grow the economy and that he will create thousands of jobs by investing in alternative energy.

Clinton also said that he and Hillary Clinton will make a combined 100 campaign appearances for Obama by Election Day.
