MONROE, Mich (WTOL) - A police investigation is underway after some female students were allegedly strip-searched at a local school. It happened at Trinity Lutheran School in Monroe.

A closed door meeting was held Monday night, October 6. In that meeting, the church's pastor told the day school commissioner and the church council he was investigating the allegations.

The Monroe evening news reported last week a teacher was looking for another student's stolen money and strip-searched several female students. The school's principal has denied the allegations.

The church's pastor and the Monroe Police Department declined to comment.
