180th Fighter Wing set to deploy

From a news release:

TOLEDO - The 180th Fighter Wing will hold an official ceremony at 3 p.m., Oct. 5, honoring nearly 250 men and women of the 180th Fighter Wing for their upcoming service.

Approximately 30 personnel from the 180th Security Forces Squadron will deploy in November  in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. These airmen will deploy as two 13-member squads and as the lead headquarters element to defend United States Air Force personnel and Army forces in Central Command, Saudi Arabia from criminal and terrorist threats.

Approximately 220 Airmen from the 180th Fighter Wing will be deploying to Iraq in late October to provide aerial support to military operations in the Global War on Terrorism throughout the Central Command region. These airmen will work with other Air National Guard units to fulfill a United States Air Force Aerospace Expeditionary Forces rotation.
