COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Two Columbus-based restaurant chains are being brought under the same corporate roof.
Damon's Grill is being acquired by G&R Acquisition Inc., the same Pittsburgh equity firm that took over Max & Erma's earlier this year.
G&R leader Gary Reinert Sr. says both casual dining chains have great heritages and histories.
Today's announcement about the Damon's sale did not provide financial terms. Damon's was owned by Alliance Development Holdings of Charlotte, North Carolina.
G&R plans to keep the Damon's and Max & Erma's brands separate while combining some management and support operations. Both will stay based in Columbus.
There are 65 Damon's sports theme restaurants located in 15 states. Max & Erma's has more than 100 locations in 13 states.
