Strickland featured in anti-Obama ad

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Governor Strickland has an unwelcome cameo in a new ad bashing Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

The ad from John McCain uses one of Clinton's own ads from the primary campaign that carried the implication that Obama has far less experience than Clinton. The new ad lifts the opening images from the original ad and includes footage of Hillary Clinton giving a speech just before the March 4 Ohio primary.

As Clinton speaks, Strickland leans briefly into the picture. Strickland was a prominent backer of Clinton in the primary but now supports Obama.

He says from Denver that he's confident his campaigning for Clinton won't hurt Obama in Ohio in November. He also laughed off his brief inclusion in the McCain ad.
