State report cards out for Ohio schools

TOLEDO (WTOL) - The state ratings for each school and each school district have been released. There are six designations. From best to worst academic performance, they are:
  • Excellent with distinction (The distinction means the school was above expected growth for at least two consecutive years.)
  • Excellent
  • Effective
  • Continuous improvement
  • Academic watch
  • Academic emergency

Reports by school district

In the table below, we've pulled out the ratings for 11 of the biggest districts in the Toledo area. You can click on the district name to get reports of individual schools within that district. If your school is not listed, here is a link to Report cards for all school districts in Ohio.

Toledo Public Schools
Toledo Public School students returned to class Tuesday, and some returned to the seven new buildings in the district. The schools that have new buildings are Bowsher High, DeVeaux Middle School, and Whittier, Sherman, Glendale, Elmhurst and Westfield Elementary Schools. Even though it's the first day of class, TPS got a report card from the state for last year's performance.
As a district, TPS has increased one rating from last year to a 'continuous improvement' rating. Here are the Report cards for individual TPS schools.
