The Marina District project is up for yet another vote by the Toledo City Council. This time, they are voting to approve a new financing plan.
Developer Larry Dillin has assumed more personal risk and provides the city with an opportunity to repossess the land should Dillin default on his commitment.
That's enough for me. I say City Council should approve this plan and get the project moving. If it stalls now, we could be looking at a 2-year hiatus.
That's a long time. Especially since the taxpayers have already kicked in about $30 million to make this happen.
