Cardinal Stritch names new football coach

From a news release:

Cardinal Stritch High School (CSHS) has named Conrad Kolbow as the new varsity football coach, effective immediately. Prior to today's announcement, Kolbow served as the varsity football Assistant Coach.

School administration terminated the contract of head varsity football coach Andre Hampton on August 12 after an internal investigation uncovered illegal financial activity. Cardinal Stritch High School is cooperating with the Oregon Police Department who are conducting an ongoing investigation into the matter. Due to the status of the investigation, no further comment from the institution will be made at this time.

The administration and athletic department met with parents and student/athletes on Wednesday, August 13 to inform them of the staff change and to answer their questions.

Coach Kolbow has been an assistant coach for the Mighty Cardinals for the past three seasons and has served as an assistant football coach at Ottawa Hills and Rogers High Schools prior to his arrival at CSHS.
