NEW OVERNIGHT--Central Toledo accident injures 1

TOLEDO - An overnight power outage might be to blame for a crash that sent one person to the hospital overnight.

The accident happened shortly before midnight at the intersection of Dorr and Collingwood in central Toledo. Two cars collided in the intersection there, and one slammed into a pole.

Police say the traffic lights were not working because of a power outage and that neither driver stopped. One of the drivers was taken to a hospital.

Thousands of Toledo Edison customers were in the dark overnight because of a blown transformer. Crews have been working to get the lights back on.
