You may soon be paying more to get around town. TARTA's board met this morning to discuss ways to help counter the high price of gas.
In the end, they decided to increase transfer fees from 10 cents to a dollar as well as increasing the cost for Call-A-Ride by 40 cents. Some routes were also changed. The board was careful not to increase prices as to put a financial hardship on monthly or weekly pass holders.
The board also decided to offer a special half-price weekly pass for seniors and people with disabilities.
