TOLEDO (WTOL) - The city of Toledo is targeting east Toledo for its fourth model block of the year.
The focus is on the neighborhood around Greenwood Ave., Spring Grove Ave., Navarre Ave., and White St.
This is the same part of town where a teen was killed during a church festival last month.
The model block program is a concentrated effort on a particular neighborhood in which city services are utilized to revitalize the neighborhood.
Mayor Finkbeiner took no questions from reporters at the event on the topic of the model block or other topics in which he's been asked such as spending money on the Erie St. Market, idling his car for an hour on city tax dollars, leaving his dog in the car, or the city investigation on the Port Authority.
