TOLEDO, Ohio (WTOL) - The Toledo Fire Department was busy overnight battling a couple of blazes.

One broke out at a house in west Toledo on Upton near Mansfield around 3:00am.

When crews arrived, they found flames shooting from the building.

They worked as quickly as they could, but by the time they got the fire under control, there was already extensive damage to the home.

Now, the city will be called out to knock the house down later today.

Another fire sent Toledo crews to the east side of they city. This fire happened around 12:30am at Elgin Avenue near Front Street.

When firefighters arrived, they found the garage of a vacant home burning.

The fire quickly spread until the structure collapsed.

Luckily, nobody was hurt.

Investigators say this may have been a case of arson.
