WOOD COUNTY (WTOL) - A group of local kids are literally jumping into a lesson about nature.
This is day two of Nature in a Nutshell Day Camp at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve in Perrysburg.
Today these kids are getting their hands dirty as they learn about the wetlands and its importance in our environment.
A naturalist at the preserve says it's important they are learning at such a young age.
"Eventually they're going to become adults, and they're going to have to make decisions whether parks are important to a neighborhood or a community," says Renell Simrau.
