Music under the stars returns to the Toledo Zoo

From a Toledo Zoo Press Release:

A warm summer evening, some great music, and the inspiring ambience of The Toledo Zoo's historic Amphitheatre. It can only mean one thing-another season of Music Under the Stars, a free concert series featuring the Toledo Symphony Concert Band. The 2008 concert season begins Sunday, July 13, and each concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

July 27 Andrew Lloyd Webber: Different by Design

August 3 America: Passing the Baton

August 10 Hollywood: Dreams We Share

August 17 Lerner and Loewe: With Class

August 24 Jazz: Musical Diversity

August 31 Rodgers and Hammerstein: Top Music Team

Admission to Music Under the Stars is free, although non-members of The Toledo Zoo must pay to park in the Zoo's Anthony Wayne Trail lot. In addition, visitors are invited to stop by the Beastro Café before the concert. With a delicious menu of sandwiches, salads and wraps, the Beastro will tame your beastly appetite! The Beastro Café is adjacent to the African Lodge and is open from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. prior to each Music Under the Stars Performance.

The Toledo Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo. For more information, please visit or call (419) 385-4040. Lucas County residents are admitted free of charge each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. ID showing proof of residency is required.
