Seneca County Courthouse to be restored

The Seneca County Commissioners have voted 3 to 0 to restore the Seneca Courthouse, which was built in 1884.

COLUMBUS -- New details on the fight to save the historic Seneca County Courthouse.

The Ohio Supreme Court denied a motion that would have halted demolition of the courthouse temporarily.

A Tiffin attorney asked for the halt after a bond issue backing renovation failed in March.

Seneca County commissioners have already discussed designs for a new courthouse. They believe it's cheaper to rebuild than renovate.
