Old Orchard Elementary student's knife taken away

WEST TOLEDO -- A student's knife was taken from him at Old Orchard Elementary School earlier this morning, Toledo Police have told News 11.

The boy's friend had told a school official that his friend had a knife. The boy's backpack was searched and the knife was confiscated.

The school went into lockdown until police got there. The boy is in custody and is being questioned. He could be charged with violating the Safe Schools Act.
