TOLEDO -- A one-car accident on Detroit Ave. closed the southbound lanes of Detroit between Bowsher High School and Glendale Ave. early Tuesday morning, May 20.

The vehicle crashed into an overpass support, News 11 has been told.

Four people are said to have been seriously injured. They were taken to University of Toledo Medical Center.

The driver of the silver Pontiac Grand Prix is Kenyon Mitchell. Rosalin Bell, 24, was a passenger in the car as well as William Scruggs, 27. The name of a third passenger has not been released.

The Toledo Police report states Mitchell was traveling north on S. Detroit at Wildwood when his vehicle went left of center. The vehicle traveled over three impact attenuators and subsequently collided with the center concrete support of the Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge.

The condition of the vehicle occupants has not been released. The accident is under investigation.
