Crispy Oat Drop Cookies

Crispy Oat Drop Cookies - "A little bit of everything"

1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats, uncooked
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-3/4 cups M&M's Semi-sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits
1 cup Rice Krispy cereal
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy; beat in egg and add vanilla. In medium bowl combine flour, oats, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Blend flour mixture into creamed mixtured. Stir in M&M's bits, cereal, coconut and pecans. Drop by heaping tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 10 - 13 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on wire racks. Store in tightly covered container. Makes about 4 dozen cookies. These freeze well.

You can use 1/2 chocolate chips and 1/2 M&M's if you like.
