It seems to be the impossible task... finding time to work out.
But News 11's Melissa Voetsch reports that all you need is five minutes. YMCA Personal Trainer Renee Small says, "We have a new feature on our Weigh In To Win web page."
A lot of times you don't have time to work out during your day. So each week we're going to introduce a 5-minute workout you can while at your computer, whether at work or at home.
This week we're starting with stretching. It's amazing how a five-minute break can recharge you. Don't worry about finding time. You don't have to leave your computer to do it.
In fact, it's the perfect place to start. Small says, "The goal is to open up the chest... open up our shoulders... because we tend to be hunched over a lot as we type. So we want to lift everything up and open everything up."
All exercises are simple enough to do from your computer chair. The workouts are designed to do at a desk, so there's little room for excuses.
The full 5-minute workouts will be posted each week.
Eventually, you might want to string them together to do all in one session.
