TOLEDO -- All Toledo Powertrain workers laid off because of the strike at American Axle have been called back to work beginning with the first shift Tuesday, March 25.
A General Motors spokeswoman says transmission production is scheduled from Tuesday through Friday.
A GM truck plant in Louisiana has scheduled an assembly shift next week and needs the Toledo-produced automatic transmissions.
A strike at Detroit based American Axle has shut down about 28 GM plants across the country. That strike is now more than 3 weeks old.
