East Toledo -- The search continues for the person or persons responsible for slashing more than 100 car tires in east Toledo over the weekend.
Mayor Carty Finkbeiner and Police Chief Mike Navarre talked to neighbors Monday afternoon. They're hoping to smoke out the culprit.
The mayor is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Chief Navarre told News 11, "I am certain that there are people out there that know who did this. Hopefully, by tomorrow at this time, we will have gotten that phone call and have identified who those suspects are and get them in. And hopefully get a court to order them to make restitution."
Police don't have any hard evidence, but do suspect young people are behind the tire slashings.
