WOOD COUNTY, Ohio -- A car hit a house overnight in Wood County. It happened around 2:30 Monday morning on Pemberville Road at Libbey.
Police tell us the car was headed down Libbey Road, which dead ends at Pemberville Road. But the driver just kept going. As a result, the car went air born through the guardrail and then hit the front corner of the home before landing on its side.
Life flight had to be called in to the take the driver to a hospital. He suffered a head injury but we are told he was conscious and alert.
The couple who lives inside the home wasn't hurt, but they were startled to wake up to the loud crash after just moving into the house a month ago.
The exterior damage to the house doesn't look so bad. There is structural damage to the inside walls.
No word on what caused the driver of that car to crash.
