CENTRAL TOLEDO -- Toledo police spent the early morning hours investigating a fatal shooting.
It happened around 9:30 Sunday night on the 1000 block of Norwood near Waite.
Police say they think the whole thing was an attempted robbery that ended with a person dead. Police tell News 11 two people were sitting in a car on Norwood when several suspects came up and tried to rob them.
Gunfire was exchanged, and Victor Wiggins, one of the robbery suspects, was shot. He later died at a hospital.
Bullets were scattered in the street, and several bullets hit cars parked along the street. Police tell us the driver of the car was not hurt but is being questioned.
So far Monday morning no charges have been filed and police tell us this is still an active investigation.
