Sherman Powell is the man who was with Robert Jobe the night police say he shot and killed Detective Dressel.
Powell pleaded guilty Friday to carrying a concealed weapon, possession of crack cocaine, trafficking cocaine, obstructing justice, and obstructing official business.
He was sentenced to three years community control and six months in a correctional treatment facility with credit for 262 days already served.
Powell had faced eight years in prison, but he accepted a plea deal, in exchange for his testimony during the Jobe trial.
