Voters in Sylvania and Sylvania Township may be putting out a hot issue today at the polls as they decide on fire services.
Voters will choose from three fire issues on Tuesday. The first is a 1.5 mill levy that would restore several fire services recently cut by township trustees. The other two issues come from those township trustees.
Both are half-mill levies; one is for long-term capital improvements, while the other is an operational levy to keep services as they are.
Residents say they're not sure what to think. Phyllis Siedlecki told News 11, "I'm confused and a little disappointed because I'm not sure exactly what's going on."
Community leaders say it may take weeks to figure out how to handle the issues if all three pass.
