There's a group out there called the Partnership for Job Preservation. Somehow they think it's a good idea to change Ohio's smoking ban laws.
As far as I can tell, they want to re-introduce smoking in bars and restaurants.
What a terrible idea!
These people need to give up this fight. They had their chance in 2006.
The voters of Ohio approved the smoking ban. Game over!
The truth is that bars and restaurants are much more pleasant without cigarette smoke. And studies on secondhand smoke indicate it may be even worse for you than we thought. Much worse.
Smokers may not like the way the non-smokers feel about smoking; they have to get over it. The people of Ohio have spoken, emphatically.
If you want to smoke, do it outside.
