THREE DOT SPORTS WEEKEND

Toledo--Rockets still sub .500 for the season... but they made it a night to remember for Rocket fans at the Glass Bowl... amassed a stunning total of 812-yards of offense against Northern Illinois... that's a new MAC record... some eye-popping numbers part of that offense... Rockets threw for 430-yards... ran for 382-yards... when the night was over they had 35 first downs...averaged nearly nine yards a play as they beat the Huskies 70-12... the point total the third highest in Rocket history... Toledo now 4-5 overall... 2-3 in the conference...Toledo home with Eastern Michigan next Saturday...

          Bowling Green Falcons in a funk against Ohio University... allowed the Bobcats Kalvin McRae to run for 200-yards... plus he scored three touchdowns... but it was the pick by Ohio's Kris Luchsinger when the score was 21-20 that help do in the Falcons... Luchsinger returned the interception 58-yards for the touchdown... Bowling Green falls to Ohio 38-27...Falcons hopes in the MAC East slipping away... Bowling Green now 4-4 overall... 2-2 in the MAC... they'll host Akron next Saturday...

 

          in District Volleyball...Notre Dame took care of St. Ursula in three games... Central Catholic a winner over Ottawa-Glandorf to win the Division Two Crown... Bowling Green girls also advanced in Division One... District Soccer... it was Northview over St. John's 2-1 in Division One Boys... Northview knocks off St. Ursula 2-0 for the Division One Girls Ttitle...
