Risk of another MI govt. shutdown

With a Wednesday, October 31 deadline nearing, Michigan lawmakers have yet to make major headway on a state budget.

Lawmakers have until the end of the month to pass a permanent budget complete with $433 million dollars in cuts.

A few people plan to work over the weekend, but neither house democrats nor senate republicans plan to convene until Monday.

If a permanent budget is not in place by the 31st, there's risk of another partial government shutdown.
