5 more Toledo Red Cross workers head to Cal.

Red Cross workers from our area headed to California on Wednesday and Thursday to aid in disaster relief efforts.

TOLEDO -- Five more area volunteers left Thursday morning to held with disaster relief efforts in California. One United Way volunteer joined them.

The Red Cross branch here was contacted Tuesday morning and asked to send some volunteers. Charles Gunn, Bob Krisher, Dale Kwapich, Gloria Liedigk and Lawrence and Pearlia Kynard headed off Wednesday.

They will be doing Mass Care/Sheltering to support the needs of the individuals who have been evacuated. They will stay for up to 3 weeks.
