FULTON COUNTY -- Student driver, 16-year-old Alexander Murray, has been charged with a lane violation after it was determined that he went left of the center line and collided head-on with a pick-up truck last week.
Murray had been driving eastbound on U.S. 20 in Royalton Township; the truck was traveling westbound, says the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
His instructor, 49-year-old Barbara Hepfinger and a passenger in the truck, 69-year-old Mary Kaser were injured.
Barbara Hepfinger was transported via lifelight to UTMC, where she was in critical condition. Mary Kaser was lifeflighted to St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, also in critical condition.
Both women are considered "no information" patients, which means no information is going out to the media.
Both Murray and Mr. Kaser were taken via ground transport to Fulton County Health Center, where they were each treated and released.
