No. Baltimore man charged with murdering girlfriend

UPDATED AT NOON: No. Baltimore man arraigned today on murder charges.
Randy G. Corbin has been charged with Coldwell's murder.

NORTH BALTIMORE, OH -- Randy G. Corbin, 46 was arraigned Friday in Bowling Green Municipal Court, charged with murdering his girlfriend, Karen Coldwell. He is being held in jail without bond.

Acting on a tip, police found Coldwell's body around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night in Perry Township northwest of Fostoria. She had been missing since Monday. The same tip led authorities to Corbin.

A family friend told News 11 the two had been dating for less than a year. Bryan Wittenmeyer has been Coldwell's neighbor for fifteen years, and he's stunned by the slaying. "She was really nice to everybody. Pretty well known around town. Couldn't hurt a flea. Everybody liked her. I'm just surprised somebody would have done that to her. Somebody could stoop that low."

Coldwell leaves two daughters and five grandchildren.

The case is being investigated by the North Baltimore Police, the Wood County Prosecutor's Office, the Wood County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Randy Corbin's next scheduled court appearance is a preliminary hearing on October 29th.
