If some west Toledo residents and a developer have their way, a formerly vibrant shopping center will thrive again.
Residents packed Aldersgate United Methodist Church Monday night for a community forum about Deveaux Village located at Sylvania and Douglas.
They expressed worries over everything from parking to traffic. Much of the life left Deveaux when Foodtown closed its doors. While Cedar Creek Church plans to open a west Toledo campus in a hall at Deveaux, residents like Abbey Anteau would welcome another super market, remembering how many people it brought to the shopping center.
The developer, Timberstone Group, plans to invest $10 million dollars into the ailing shopping center.
