PERRYSBURG -- Calphalon says the move from its headquarters at third and d streets in Perrysburg to Atlanta will affect 85 of its corporate employees, mainly sales, finance and marketing positions.
A company spokesperson says Newell Rubbermaid's decision to relocate will improve collaboration within their organization as part of a strategy to become one global company.
A statement issued explained "This was a complicated decision for us to make, and is no reflection on the highly valued work performed by Calphalon associates - in fact our full manufacturing and distribution operations, as well as our customer service and consumer relations teams will remain in Perrysburg. We are offering transition assistance and working with the state of Ohio to ensure the best possible support for our associates who do not make the move. We are proud of our history in Ohio and will work closely with all of our employees, customers, and suppliers during this transition."
The transition will take place sometime in July or August of next year.
