Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Butter small muffin tins. Using a 3-inch round biscuit cutter cut out a 3 inch round from each slice of bread. Roll each bread round out on work surface to flatten. Carefully fit bread into muffin tin, pressing gently to form cup. Bake until lightly browned approx. 8-10 minutes. Remove from tin and let cool on wire rack. Croustades can be sealed tightly in plastic bags and frozen at this point.
