Green onions , chopped
Tomatoes, fresh or canned, chopped
Hamburger or ground turkey, cooked as per directions on package of taco seasoning
Taco shells or tortillas, crunched up
1/2 bunch parsley chopped fine
Black Olives, chopped
1 pack Taco seasoning
Cilantro, chopped fine
Assorted lettuces, washed and torn up - butter crunch, oak leaf, head lettuce, all sorts
In a large bowl, put all the washed lettuces, torn up, add the onions, tomatoes, and herbs. Toss together. Add the olives and cheese, and just before serving add the cooked hamburger, which is now taco seasoned meat. Sprinkle the top with the chips and serve.
You can also add refried beans, sour cream and salsa, if you desire. The variety of lettuces are great ! They give the salad more texture and body, as well as having more nutritional value than iceberg lettuce.
