STRAWBERRY BBQ SAUCE
1 28 ounce can tomatoes, drained
1 pint ripe, cleaned strawberries (or other ripe seasonal fruits; peaches, plums, mangos, etc.)
4 ounces balsamic vinegar
2 heaping teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
salt, worcestershire sauce, and tabasco to taste
Puree ingredients in food processor, then heat and reduce to desired thickness in saucepan.
juice of 4 limes
1 cup peanut oil
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, slivered
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon parsley
1 jalapeno pepper, slivered
Just mix together, and add fresh orange juice if sauce is too tart.
