6 halves acorn squash 1 can (1 pound) sliced apples 3/4 cup brown sugar Nutmeg to taste
6 halves acorn squash 1/4 cup honey 2 tablespoons butter 1 tablespoons Worcesterhire sauce 1/4 cup chopped nuts
Fill cooked squash with buttered peas or you favorite vegetable.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Split and seed squash. Place split squash upside down on a buttered baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 40 min. Turn squash over and prick with a fork, being careful not to break the skin. Combine ingredients of your favorite filling and spoon into cavity of squash. Return to oven for 15-20 minutes or until hot.
Microwave: Split squash and scoop out seeds. If squash is hard to cut, microwave whole squash 1-2 minutes on high. Arrange 3 squash halves on round glass platter. Cover with wax paper and cook 8-10 minutes. Repeat with rest of squash halves. Prick with fork nad fill with favorite filling. Cover with wax paper and microwave on high an additional 2-3 minutes.
