Responses to e-mail questions are intended to answer questions of a general nature. While our nurses are trained and experienced, and may help you to recognize certain situations in which a consultation with a physician is necessary, however, they do not attempt to determine whether or not an illness or other medical condition exists in a specific case, or whether a treatment is appropriate for a specific individual. A physical examination by a physician is always necessary to determine whether or not an illness or other medical condition exists, and before treatment recommendations can be made. A response to an e-mail questions does not create a physician-patient relationship.
For an after hours emergency, call 911 or the main office at (419) 251-3700 and you will be transferred to the Academy of Medicine where the on call physician can be reached.
