This is a no bake and no cook recipe. These treats are a cross between a cookie and a candy. They are delicious, not real sweet and easy to make.
2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
2-1/4 cups chopped or ground almonds
1/4 cup light corn syrup
6 tablespoons frozen orange juice, thawed but not diluted
About 2 cups of confectioner's sugar
Mix all ingredients except sugar thoroughly. Form into balls about 1/2 inch in diameter. Chill for several hours covered. Remove from refrigerator and roll each ball in confectioner's sugar.
This recipe can easily be cut in half or doubled.
Note: The amount of orange juice you use may vary depending on how you measure the wafers and almonds. Use enough juice that the crumb mixture will hold together as you roll the balls in your hands.
