FIRST ALERT: Tuesday Storm Threat

FIRST ALERT: Tuesday Storm Threat

Rain showers are expected to continue this evening and will remain on and off into Tuesday morning. It will turn dramatically more humid and warmer through the day Tuesday ahead of a powerful cold front. The FIRST ALERT Day Tuesday will focus on the threat of strong or possibly severe storms late in the day, especially into the evening and overnight.

Timing of the risk of strongest storms will likely be after 6 PM. The threat will continue through dark and could last after midnight and into early Wednesday morning.

The main threat of these storms will be strong and gusty winds (possibly in excess of 60 mph). However, conditions will briefly be favorable for a few storms with possible rotation near and after dark. There remains the potential of a few brief, weak tornadoes as suggested by the latest data analyzed today.

Please keep up to date on the latest from the First Alert Weather Team this evening and again tomorrow morning continued updates!
