LUCAS COUNTY, OH (WTOL) -

Nearly three-quarters of a $1 million is being invested to help babies in Lucas County.

The Ohio Department of Health is investing $850,000 to fight infant mortality.

The funding is part of a nearly $40 million investment in Ohio's 2018-19 budget to address baby deaths across the Buckeye state.

In February, the county got more than $2 million in the same type of funding.
