Keeping all of Lucas County healthy just takes a CHIP.
It's the Community Health Improvement Plan, a three-year program to address mother and child health, infant mortality, chronic diseases, obesity, mental health, drug addiction and opiate use.
"Healthy Lucas County is a coalition of community organizations working to improve the health of all, all of Lucas County's Residents. The coalition is especially focused on addressing the needs of residents living with low income, areas in less-than health disparities, to help everyone live to their fullest potential," said Lucas County Health Commissioner Eric Zgodzinski.
The Lucas County CHIP plan supports and aligns the state of Ohio Health Improvement Plan.
