Impact with Hope, ProMedica collecting baby formula, food for Florence victims

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) -

Florence, which was once a Category 4 hurricane, is still wreaking havoc on the Carolinas.

Even though the storm has moved out of the states, flooding, heavy rains and strong winds are still causing damage and making it dangerous for people to return to their homes.

Locally, Impact with Hope is doing their part in helping those in need.

After a weekend donation drive in which they collected basic cleaning and personal care items, Impact with Hope is teaming up with the ProMedica OB/GYN office at Levis Commons to meet a specific and important need for Florence victims: baby formula and baby food.

The organizations are asking that baby supplies be dropped off by Thursday at 3 p.m. so they can be included in the first wave of trucks being dispatched to the area.

However, donations will be accepted through September 28.

Anyone who wishes to donate new, unopened baby formula and food can do so during business hours at the Levis Commons ProMedica OB/GYN office, located on the south side of Levis Commons near the Holiday Inn Express.
